What do I need?

To join the Army reserves, you will need to meet the basic requirements for your trade. When you are ready to join, you will need to:

• Meet the physical standards. Basically you need to be able to complete 19 pushups, 19 situps and reach level 3 in the beep-test. This is the minimum, and you may find yourself struggling in the Infantry if you do not exceed this standard. Please note that the standards are different for men and women.
• Be a Canadian citizen
• Be at least 16 years of age, or older. If you are under 18 you will need your parent's permission.
• Completed secondary 3 of high school.
• Birth certificate, school records.
• Be ready to complete an interview, aptitude test, medical test and physical fitness test.
